I guess by now it was probably a matter of 'when' but I'm glad that Jukka and the band think that they fit well together. 🤘 Now I'm probably reading too much into things, but is there any sort of relation between Marko's latest interview, which was his first in-depth interview in a year, and this announcement? Like in, 'this guy is not interested or ready to return to Nightwish, maybe we should move on and make Jukka's position official?'

Looking forward to the next leg of this tour. South America will undoubtedly be wild like always! If there's a DVD made before the end of the tour in 2023, where would you expect it to be filmed? South America for the crazy crowds, Europe for the big production, China for the exoticism? Or Australia, if the rumours of a visit there in 2023 hold true?

Kai and Tuomas are interviewed at Knotfest, Kai seemed a bit nervous there or he had too much caffeine? 😁 Interesting comment from Kai about how the band was lucky in a way that Marko's leaving didn't happen while they were touring -- I can imagine Tuomas recalling some bad Imaginaerum tour memories right there. There's even a teaser at the end about a song on the new album! 😁

Yes, last chance before the fall European tour. I'm also wondering whether there will be a DVD out of this tour. Given the virtual show DVD and the pro shots of this summer, I'm not confident there will be money to make on another DVD, on the other hand if they sign with a new label (or go indie) they might want to cash in on new releases.

Huh, that's unexpected... It's an event with huge visibility, so it's probably a great PR move for her. Looking forward to that, I do need to look up the Dutch anthem ahead of time! 😁

Listened to the new song a few times, it's more of a continuation of old Delain than I would have expected, and less of a new direction for the "new" band. I guess fans will be pleased for the most part. Looking forward to more from the new album. Oh and a link to the video:

Oh wow! 😮 I'm so curious! The leak is unfortunate, but I'm surprised the name hasn't leaked long before, with all the people attending the secret shows this summer. The big reveal is in a couple of days, and a quick internet search doesn't yield any clues, so I'm sure very few people will have actually been spoiled.

Walden is a nice group, I'm a member of most of these communities myself, although I can't say I'm active -- don't even have the time to update my own group! 😝

New music from Allen-Olzon, a single named 'All Alone'. I can't say it really grabbed me at first listen. For one thing, the lyrics don't do it for me.

So far what little we could hear from their teasers still sounds very Delain, so I'm rather confident that the new material will be fine. I'm very curious though as to how the old material will sound with a new line-up, as they certainly won't stick to only playing the new album.

Either that, or sign with Atomic Fire which was formed by the people of Nuclear Blast after they sold NB to some bigger label a couple of years ago. Some of the Nuclear Blast bands have switched to Atomic Fire since. That might explain why the virtual show DVD was released last year this year by an independent label instead of NB.

I'm trying and failing to keep up! 😄 So much work coming back from the holidays. With the festival season almost over, I will get a chance to catch up on the recent shows!
