Man, Tarja did leave no stone unturned when planning her solo shows... 😮 I found out today that she even performed "Where Were You Last Night" (the Ankie Bagger cover she recorded with Nightwish 😬) and "Erämaajärvi" (first part of Lappi from the first album) in 2010 during her solo tour. It is confusing! Beste Zangers, AFAS, Henk's show... Floor really made the best out of this collaboration with Henk. Makes one wonder if he will be invited to sing on her album, given the pop tangent.

Ok by now you must be aware that FloorWorld is a thing: Floor's new fan club. From the live chat (link here), here's what I understand: It's not a Patreon but a different platform, mixing both YouTube and chat features. No Android mobile app yet. Both free and paying membership levels. YouTube membership will be downscaled, only the basic level will remain. First impressions, the platform looks a bit like Facebook, with sections and threads and posts. It will take some getting used to, it's already a bit of a mess of posts and I can't really imagine Floor being able to interact with members in a more personal way than on YouTube but let's see where this goes. 😁 Then there's a members-only area (the paying tier), which is where the exclusive stuff will hide. Levelling up includes the following perks: This is somewhat similar to the Floorfunders level on YouTube, which will no longer exist. The only real draw of paying for that higher YouTube subscription level were the live chats, because the exclusive videos and posts were not really noteworthy. Let's hope that Floor provides meatier content for the FloorWorld paying members. It does feels awkward though to have to pay for a HQ download of the live AFAS recording that was paid for by fans on another platform. 😮 In other news, the solo album work is moving along, and the first song will be released on March 25. It neither metal or rock, but a pop song. 😬 Let's hope for the best.

The Tampere and Helsinki shows have for the Nth time been moved, now scheduled in April just before the band travels to North America (hopefully). That gives us 3 long months to keep ourselves entertained the best we can! 😬 Hope Floor does something interesting, because the rest of the band are just missing in action.

Floor will have a live chat tomorrow on YouTube, and she teased an announcement about a new fan club, presumably a Patreon just like Epica launched yesterday. Other news might include something about her upcoming solo album (single coming soon?) or her involvement with the German show which name I just can't remember right now. 😁

Love it! It's interesting to actually see Floor's pitch and the discussion about auto-tuning and pitch correction is fascinating. Looking forward to more of this!

Epica have launched a Patreon community where paying members can access exclusive content. Simone already had a Patreon I believe, but this is the band. For artists it's a good way to keep in touch with fans and rake in the dough in these hard times, but for some reason I don't see Tuomas joining this trend. I thought I would mention that it's been one year since Marko announced his leaving Nightwish, and so far there's no sign of him ever coming back. I don't know if the band and Marko are even keeping in touch. Anyway let's enjoy some music from Marko's solo album, along with a typical Marko comment: "Hello world! It’s time for one more live video from our European tour. A Tour that we finished still under some better stars. And here’s a couple of questions: Dear Oligarchy. How much of your worker/consumer base you can let die off and still make a profit? Wouldn’t proper social democracy make things safer for you too? Isn’t it you with the resources? For now, as always, we’ll keep on walking, and innocents will fall. Subjects might change, but we are on a ”Death March For Freedom”

I kind of admire Henk's willingness to step out of his comfort zone and do these shows with Floor. The thing I regret the most about the postponement of the Nightwish shows in Amsterdam is missing the chance for Henk to join Floor on stage to sing The Phantom Of The Opera with Nightwish. It was their best chance, because with Marko gone I don't see that song be played again with the whole band. Will Henk be available next year? Will there still be any interest? Who knows.

Not to my knowledge, it was more of a discussion between fans. IONA as a band hasn't been active for many years, although individual members appear to keep busy.

The tour has now been extended into 2023 with the postponement of the Chinese dates. Still in limbo are the January 2022 Finnish shows which appear unlikely to take place on the scheduled dates. Details in the HN tour thread.

As is becoming the norm, Chinese shows are cancelled at the last possible moment. Interestingly they are planning a more extensive Asian tour in 2023 including countries in which they had never played before as far as I know: Singapore, Indonesia and Taiwan. Edit: They actually did already play Singapore and Taiwan.
